Shellaby’s digital print shows the Lake Peligre Dam in Haiti. When the dam was built on the Artibonite River in 1956 it caused flooding which thereby destroyed the livelihood of farming communities. Shellaby was inspired by the story told by Paul Farmer, found in Mountains beyond Mountains by Tracy Kidder.
